Pastor Carter's Thoughts

Power of a Mother's Prayer

by Pastor Dale Carter on 08/23/17

The year was 1820 and Peter Richley was a grateful man. He had survived one of the strangest and most harrowing events known to mankind. The ship which he had been traveling on sank. He was rescued. By some strange twist of circumstance, however, this ship sank.

He was rescued again. But, this third ship sank likewise. He was rescued for a third time. Yet, his fourth ship of passage soon sank. And unbelievably, he was rescued for a fourth time, but this fifth ship sank as well.

It would have been laughable had it not been so serious. On the high seas, however, he floated with the serene confidence that somehow God did not want him to die. And sure enough, as if on cue, another ship came by and answered his call for help.

This ocean liner, The City of Leeds, was named after it’s British city of orgin. It was bound from England to Australia and traveled the same sea lane as Peter Richley’s downed ships. The crew of The City of Leeds hoisted Peter aboard. Dry clothing was provided to Peter. The ship’s doctor gave him a cursory exam, pronounced him fit, and then asked an unusual favor.

“There’s a lady on board who booked passage to Australia,” the doctor explained. “She’s looking for her son who disappeared years ago. She’s dying and she’s asking to see her son. She knows everybody on board and since you’re the only newcomer, would you pretend to be her son?”

Peter agreed. After all, his life had now been saved for the fifth time. He followed the doctor below deck and entered into a cabin. There on a small bed lay a frail woman with silvered-hair. She was obviously suffering from a very high fever. Deliriously, she was crying out. “Please God. Let me see my son before I die. I must see my son!”

The ship’s doctor gently pushed the young man toward the bed. Soon, however, Peter Richley began sobbing. For lying there on that bed was the reason that he couldn’t seem to die. Here was the lifeline that had kept him from drowning five times. For lying on that bed was none other than Sarah Richley—who had prayed for ten years to reconciled to her son, Peter.

The ship’s doctor stood in amazement as the young man fell down by the bed and embraced the sick woman. “I’m here mom! I’m here. It’s me!” Within days the fever had subsided and his mother awakened to find an answered prayer seated on the edge of her bed.

(This story was told by western writer Louis L’Amour in an interview he gave. This story bears out the saying, “truth is stranger than fiction.” In researching the Louis L’Amour website there were additional references that bear out this story to be a true story.)

Never, never, never underestimate the power of the prayers of a praying mother.

Drama in The Church

by Pastor Dale Carter on 06/21/17

Drama as defined by Webster’s Dictionary as a literary composition to be performed by actors. A play that is not a comedy, in other words, it’s pretty serious and can also be defined as “exaggerated emotionalism”. After over thirty years of pastoring I have analyzed in my own mind, the components of Drama. I broke it down into categories and its causes.  Number one.  Every play or movie has a foundation. In other words, what is the reason for the play? There is a message that the producer wants to express, show to an audience and hope the audience enjoys it.  All of the parts of the play may not be exactly the truth so the actors dramatize the parts so people will listen longer and more intensely.  The value of the play is determine by the ability of the actor to dramatize. These people are called dramatist, kind a like a playwright in Hollywood. In the case of Drama, the playwright, the dramatist, the actor and the star of the show is the self-same person.  Because the number one reason or foundation of this Drama is “Self”.

Most plays are broken down in parts or acts. The first act lays the ground work and plants the seeds. These seeds must be cared for daily. The ground in which they are planted needs to be watched to make sure that only the seeds that produce the desired fruit will be cared for. Every seed that does not create agreement with the playwright and dramatist will be plucked up and the sower will be doused with poisonous venom in an attempt to destroy their creditability and may even be cast as an enemy.  Only those that agree with the playwright and dramatist will have a part in this Drama.  The number two reason for this play is “Self”.

So thirdly, the seeds must be watered. The water for these plants that have begun to grow an audience. The larger the audience the more attention. So now the playwright and dramatist must do something to entice the audience so they create something dramatic. In most plays or a true story movie this is where the real truth is detoured. What if the whole truth and nothing but the truth was told…well someone might think that some of this drama was invented and I would shudder to think that maybe the truth would expose me of causing a part of the problems maybe even most of them. Someone may even think that the real reason for this Drama is “Self”

Over a person’s life time some can be infected by a terminal disease called Self”.  One symptom of this disease is an inflated ego another is pride while another is attitude. The disease starts in the mind and then flows to the heart saturating it fully. We can know that the heart has been saturated because all that flows from the mouth is Drama filled with venom, venom trying to steal, kill and destroy. Most don’t realize that the one that is harmed the most is the one that is spewing the venom. Why? Because Self is so big  the mirror of self-image cannot be seen.

There is a antidote or a cure for this evil life style. The Bible says that it is appointed unto every man once to die but then the judgement. The apostle Paul said, I die daily. If the diseased person will die daily in the way that Paul means then disease is cured and judgement is behind and will not have to be faced ever again.

Landing is Necessary to Maintain Flight

by Pastor Dale Carter on 06/10/17

Before an airplane can land it has to quit flying. In aviation lingo, this is called a stall. Which actually means that the forward motion of the airplane is not sufficient to maintain or sustain the attitude of flight. A controlled stall or landing is a good thing. It give the pilot an opportunity to look things over make necessary adjustments so secure flight (soar) can be enjoyed and profitable. The eagle must land or it could never reproduce and replenish its’ kind.
An eagle territory is in the heights. When it lands, it lands on a branch high in a tall tree. When it lands for a time of replenishment it settles in a nest that has been prepared. This is the character an heart of the eagle. Though I firmly believe that God created those that follow Him to soar and do great things and planted within us the seeds of talent, ability and skills so that those seeds will produce a harvest that will bring glory to God.
With that in mind, we are not eagles nor do we have the eagle's heart. We are created as sheep. Jesus did not tell Peter to feed My eagles He said "Feed My Sheep, Feed My Lamps"
When the eagle needs food and drink, while it is soaring it is constantly searching the valley and meadows for food. When it locates the food it will swoop down and pick up it's prey and return to it's perch to ingest it. The eagle will never remain in the valley.
It is the heart of sheep to be lead by the shepherd. The Shepherd leads His sheep by the still water away from the deafening sound of rough water. He causes us to lye in green pastures. The still waters and green pasture will restore our soul, help us to see the necessary things that need attention and give us strength to mount up with wings as eagles. Now we can continue to soar and do great things.

God Created The Egale To Soar

by Pastor Dale Carter on 05/25/17

"Father, thank you that You created me to soar and to do great things. You're given me talent, ability, and skill. I believe that as I prepare and take responsibility with my growth, You will honor my efforts and take me further than I can ever imagine."

God created the eagle to soar above all other fowls; this is the heart of the eagle, not just “IN” his heart but “IS” his heart. While soaring above heights not obtainable by others, the eagle is surrounded by the presence of God.  Sometimes the eagle may injure his wing and possible descend to his nest or even plunge into a valley. Whether in the nest or in the valley the eagle is surrounded by the presence of God. During the pain of the injury unable to soar the process of being healed was taking place and full restoration was just over the horizon. As the healing process progress, the eagle has his eyes on the sky.  But even during the down time the eagle’s heart was soaring above the clouds because God created the eagle to soar…

God has commanded us to mount up with wings as eagles as well. If you are reading this article, read the following prayer out loud. again “Father, thank You that you have created me to soar and do great things. You’ve given me talent, ability, and skills. I believe that as I prepare and take responsibility with my growth, You will honor my efforts and take me further than I can ever imagine.” (author unknown)

Come soar with us and let God lift you into a new dimension, anoint you with fresh oil, fill you with wind of the Holy Ghost. Transform you from the old to the new by the renewing of your mind. Then you will know that you were created on purpose and for a purpose.

Does God?

by Pastor Dale Carter on 03/15/17

The question, "Does God Still Heal and Work Miracles Today" has been asked many times and appears to be asked even more frequently as time grows shorter and shorter.  I even find this to be true among Pentecostal churches, which used to be the leader in promoting the miracle working power of God.
I believe that during the time that God seems to be silent, God is working behind the scenes, preparing His people for a monumental out pouring of the super-natural anointing of the Holy Ghost that modern man has never seen before. The days of the tent revivals were only a preview of the main event.
I believe that God is playing the part of a vendor like we find at a Sam's Warehouse, disturbing small portions of products, tantalizing your taste buds and enticing you to buy the whole package.  The small portion is so good that you just can't resist buying all of it.
That is the drama that is taking place at Harvest Fellowship Church.  God has been passing out small portions for the past four or five years.
A couple of weeks ago during Bible Study we prayed for a lady that has headaches continually.  I told her that her head would quit hurting before the class was over and that when the pain left her to report it to the class.  In about twenty minutes, she announced that the pain that she had experienced for several weeks was gone.  At the time of this writing, it has not returned. This has been repeated four times with others that had headaches and other pain.  One lady reported that as we anointed her with oil and prayed, she felt something like warm water flowing from the base of her head down her back and within a few minutes, the pain that was there daily, without stop, was gone and as of today has not returned.  Personally, I've been bothered by sharp pain going from my left hip down to my knee for several weeks.  Last Monday night the prayer team anointed me and prayed.  In about twenty minutes, the pain left and has not returned.  In 2009 my doctor told me I had two ruptured discs in my back at the forth and fifth level.  We prayed and prayed, but I got no relief.  Then in May of 2010, God touched me and the pain left and has not returned and I can lift and work just like a young man.
I believe that God is giving our church small portions, preparing us for the super-natural out pouring that is just over the horizon.  Believe you me, I can hear the sound and smell the odor of the abundance of the latter rain approaching the state of Arkansas.
We here at Harvest Fellowship PCG desperately want to be, not just a part of it, but right in the middle of it.  I could share with you many powerful things taking place outside the church walls but, room will not permit.  But I will tell you that strangers and "long time no see friends" are coming to some of our members, even while they are on the job, and asking for prayer and God is doing a work within them right there.  The next day they return and bring someone with them.

If you need prayer, our services are Sunday morning at 10:30 AM and Sunday evening at 6:00PM.  Monday evening at 6:00PM and Wednesday evening at 6:00PM.  We also have a drug and alcohol deliverance service on Tuesday evening 6:00PM. God really and truly wants to heal you, deliver you and bless you in ways you haven't imagined.

A Strong Infrastructure is Manatory

by Pastor Dale Carter on 10/24/16

As we continue teaching the importance of training, preparedness, power, authority and victory, I scenes a diffident awareness of a strong presence of God. The lingering savor of a divine atmosphere that is gaining and spreading its odor, whispering to hearts as it flows as a still small voice filled with the power of a mighty rushing wind cleansing and purifying as a consuming fire. A presence that is drawing Gods’ children and guiding them into His Kingdom. Minding the broken hearted, giving sight to the blind and setting those free from the bondage of sin. As we thirst and hunger to know Him in a fullness unexplainable by man, we will send up an odour of a sweet smell into the nostrils of God and the presence of His Diving Presence will increase.

All of these together will built an infrastructure that will hold, hold during the times of storms and hard times. Look at it this way. One part of the infrastructure is connected to another part which in turn will strengthen the other part that the other part could not stand by itself. So each individual part of the infrastructure when it is connected to another part will bring strength sufficient to hold the structure together so that the purpose of the structure will be accomplished. Every business and origination and most especially the local church must have a strong infrastructure or it will deteriorate right before our very eyes.

Building a strong infrastructure is the number one priority of a great leader. There are many greater leaders in the military that have stripes on their sleeves instead of stars on their shoulders but like T.D. Jakes once said, "I'd better be a great sergeant that a poor general." Me too!

If only God's people will bind together and pull together and seek God with prayer and supplication then the presence of God will become more and more present.

Why Grow?

by Pastor Dale Carter on 09/26/16

Luke 4:18-19

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Why do pastors put a number of people they want in their church? I believe that the majority of pastors today don’t know why they want to run 200, 250, 300 or even upward to a thousand people. What would they do different if they went from 15 to 500 people. First thing is that it would make them famous and spoke highly of among their peers and within the origination. People would point finger at them in a positive way and exalt them as an example of growth.

But my question is, “Why do I want to pastor 300-350 people, what would I do different?”  Most of you have heard me say several times over the last 7 years, I have a dream of pastoring 350 people at Harvest Fellowship. Almost every time I said that, there was a very dim voice that ask the question, why. I never had a real concrete answer.

Most pastors that maintain a large number drive a better car and live in a better house than those that run only fifteen to twenty. Well I knew that wasn’t my reason nor was it the purpose of my life or the purpose that God had when He called men to pastor. The Lord placed some in the church as pastors and other offices. A pastor is like an overseer, one who attends another’s needs.

When God places a man to pastor, God looks deeper into that person’s heart and sees the heart of a Shepard. Look at:

John 21:15-17; 15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep

John 10:11-14.  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Although God places pastors within the church for to many times pastor become hireling and therefore when the going gets tough they can move from church to church. They want to have a larger church but they really don’t know why.

There has always been a seed planted in my heart that involved those men and women that are controlled drugs and alcohol and other addictions. I didn’t know how to do what needed to be done to reach them. I never was weak enough or dysfunctional enough to allow some one deceived me into trying something I knew very little about except that it was hard to communicate with those I knew that use such substances.

And then came Scarlett Lynn Brooks-Hopkins. Scarlett first came to Harvest Fellowship about 4 years ago. It didn’t take me long for me to catalogue her as a loose nut attached to a crooked bolt. At that stage of my growth in ministry I didn’t have the foresight to see what was in her. I judged the fruit because I didn’t know how to look for the seed. I had some roads to travel and some pits and pot hole to go on my journey to becoming a pastor before I’d ever be fit to be what God had called me to be. Like me Scarlett had to travel some of the same roads.

Scarlett soon faded and her memories became dim but never forgotten. Then one day there came that call from a most unsuspected place that would lead to some eye opening events and some spiritual knowledge that would answer the topic of the title of this message. “Why Grow”  And it seems, just for me.

If anyone came to Harvest Fellowship that had a drug related back ground I thought, this is it and I’d invest my love and energy in them only to be disappointed and sometimes broken hearted. But this time there was a different spirit, a longing, a sense of belonging that would help me and Harvest Fellowship to a new dimension. A dimension that would consummate, Why Grow.

Over the past few weeks little by little God has shown me the WHY. Why we must become larger, draw more people accumulate more revenue so we can fulfill our scripture for today and our foundation scripture for Harvest Fellowship PCG until the Day of The Lord…….”to preach deliverance to the captive…..” How can one be made free if they are held captive to a broken heart, in darkness because of blindness and continually bruised by their past.

So now together with our church family Scarlett is going to establish a program that defies our government but Satan himself. From the things that she has learned from the offbeat roads, pits and pot holes there is complete deliverance for those that are weak and hanging by a then rope. It’s called “DADS” Drugs, Alcohol Deliverance Service. Instead of relying on a “higher power” people that attend this service will learn that, all, and everything they need is in Jesus. This is not and will not be a program controlled by government regulations. The foundation of this program was settled before the foundation of the earth and is for “Whoso ever will”

Some of the chains that can and will be broken because we will look at what the true cause of each addiction is. What does the Bible say about addictions? What does the Bible say about:

Some of the chains that can and will be broken because we will look at what the true cause of each addiction is. What does the Bible say about addictions? What does the Bible say about:

Alcohol, Anger, Depression, Drugs, Food, Fornication, Gambling, Lust

And others some of which I never considered as being addictive.

“ONE STEP TO FREEDOM. There is a difference between Freedom and Victory. Victory means you won that battle, Freedom means that you have been delivered from those chains and bondage. Thought you were one in bondage, Jesus paid the ransom and now you are free.

Why Grow? Well most of the time growth means a health environment. A healthy environment means most things will grow as God plans them to. The Lord said, “Go Ye Out”

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Rom 10:13-15 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

We must grow to the point that Scarlett can be a full time drug minister.

If we are going to keep young people then we’ll need a full time Youth Pastor.

It will take a congregation of 3-350 people to continually support a church with that out-reach. Now I know why we must grow and why the number “350” has stuck in my mind for most of my ministry. It was a seed that God planted that is about to germinate and grow a plant that will produce a harvest that will cause a fellowship of people that the world threw aside. Maybe that is why we named our church Harvest Fellowship Pentecostal Church of God. It’s that Pentecostal power that binds us together with unwavering Love and a never ending, heart saturating, super-natural desire to fulfill Luke 4'18-19.

If My People Will Humble and Pray

by Pastor Dale Carter on 09/08/16

If My People Will Humble and Pray:
As our communities throughout this great land and our nation as a whole are slipping further away for what this nation was founded upon, we find it harder and harder to rally people around the standard of God, and become submissive to the Word of God. It's almost like pulling hen's teeth trying to get folks to attend church, pull together, bind together and fight the devil as an army of the King, Jesus Christ.
Community projects have become the most sought after solution or remedy to solve the problem of division and apostasy. I'm certainly not against helping in every way to show the love of God to our citizens that need help. But the Word of God does not say or even suggests that we clean up the streets of our town or rake leaves or other chores for a needy neighbor to restore that which has been lost or should I say, allowed to slip away.
Though I believe that we all should be a help in every way that we can, that's not what the Bible directs us, that are children of God to do. The Bible plainly states:
2 Chron 7:14. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Allow me to invite every person, regardless of denomination, race, color or creed to join us here at Harvest Fellowship Church in Lonoke, Arkansas in concerted prayer as the above scripture states, on every Monday Night at 6PM. This is the real remedy, (Prescription from God) that will start us to a healthier and Godlier community and nation.

Get Off The Sidelines

by Pastor Dale Carter on 08/25/16

Get Off the Sideline.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus chose the caliber or quality of men that He anointed with super-natural power to be His disciples and preachers and sent them into the world to carry on the ministry of Jesus? My observation is that Jesus knew that we’d be coming on the scene and He did away with every excuse that we could come up with 2000 years ago. Peter denied Christ to His back, Thomas denied Him to His face and all the others ran away in time of trouble. None of them believed Him which they proved by going to the empty tomb, including His own mother.

The reason Jesus gave these men the greatest commission a human being could receive is that Jesus saw what He could make of them. Perhaps even after all the doubt and fear in their hearts, all the faithless events and statements, Christ knew that one day every one of them would surrender their anemic abilities and courage completely to Him. When that occurred then Christ, through the power of the Holy Ghost made Super-natural anointed channels within them which would explode into a River of Living Waters and would have an eternal effect on every person touched by it.

So here we are today in the same position and, having to make primarily the same decisions as the disciples.  The disciples had the verbal words of Jesus. We have an advantage over them. We have to written Word and that is what Jesus used to defeat Satan three times in the wilderness. If there ever was a wilderness today, we are in the middle of it. We have a Rainbow, a sign of a covenant between the earth, man and God that the earth would never be destroyed by a flood again and that all living things would not have to die.

When Christ came out of that tomb, He established a new covenant with the world and all men that He had spoken of even prior to His death. But it took His resurrection to consummate this covenant.  (Covenant) John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (Covenant) John 6:40. “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”  (Covenant) Rom 10:13. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

There is great prosperity and benefit of this written covenant. On many occasion men hear the words that are spoken but some words or meanings quickly escape their minds even as they repeat it. This written covenant will never change, it is the same for all men of all nations, creeds and origins around the world. It will never be re-written. It is the same yesterday, today and forever. This Word “was” Jesus, “is” Jesus, and will “always” be Jesus.

What is My Part or Purpose in Gods Army?

Well, your part or purpose in God’s great Army is not to sit on the sideline and watch and hear the victorious army pass by. It’s been said that there are three kind of people. 1. “Those that watch things happen,” 2. “Those that make things happen,” and 3. “Those that wonder what happen.”  Now God the Father and God the Son sent us God the Holy Ghost therefore providing us with all the tools, weapons and power we would ever need to attack, conquer and over-come all the weapons, lies, deceits and wiles of the Devil. Satan was defeated at Calvary when the Precious Blood of Jesus ran down that “Old Rigged Cross” and flowed upon the earth beneath it. When that Blood touch the earth which had been Satan kingdom, it destroyed all the power Satan had, has and ever will have. He became a defeated foe subject to the Word of God not only to Jesus but unto every Blood bought, redeemed by the Blood Child of God. Jesus took back what Satan had stolen and now he has no dominion over the children of the Most High God.

So now if you believe what is written, get up off the side line, quick watching and wondering what is happening and make things happen. By Faith step out into the ranks of God’s Army. One very important thing you will need, that is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, “as the spirit gives the utterance”. If you haven’t received the baptism yet, maybe you are trying to receive your way and not God’s way. As you pray for the infilling, what are you looking for? Don’t look for or seek anything but Jesus. Jesus is the baptizer, not an imagination in your mind. Your Baptism of the Holy Ghost is in the mind of Jesus. You won’t find it anywhere else It’s in the mind of Jesus so seek Jesus. Lift Him up, worship Him, praise Him and surrender your mind and tongue to Him.  It is by the Spirit that we receive power to do the works of God. Now if you truly believe and want to be a vital part of God Army then by Faith surrender your complete “Will” to God. Receive what God has for you. How do you know what God has for you? “For it is Written.”

Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Now as you step out and join the ranks of God’s Victorious Army, you will need the same desire, belief, determination, persistence and faith of the woman with the issue of blood, (Matt. 9:20) and the ruler that while knowing that his daughter was now dead ask Jesus to come and lay His hands on her  and she shall live. (Matt 9:18) (Covenant) They (You) shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. (Mark 16:18). (Acts 8:17) The disciples laid hands on the believer and they received the Holy Ghost.

So now with that in mind look at your hands as we have done many times before and say from your heart, mind and spirit, “These are the hands that will do the works of God, and Father by faith, as life my hands up to You, Lord Jesus, holding nothing from You I surrender my complete, and my total will and all that I have unto You, and by Faith I lift up my hands to You that they become anointed hands, capable of doing the works of God.

We asked the question, what is my part and purpose in God’s Victorious Army? Your part is to get off the side line and join the ranks. Your purpose is to do the works of God whenever, where ever and whatever. When will these things happen? They are happening right now as by Faith you take your position in this platoon of God’s Army. As you march to the tune of “Onward Christian Soldiers Marching as to War With the Cross of Jesus Going on Before. Marching to the same tune is very important. If we bind together, pull together and then march together we will add more and more of God’s created children to the Kingdom of God.

Raise the Standard

by Pastor Dale Carter on 08/22/16

I served in the Marine Crops as a young man. When I was discharged I was a very different person than when I went in. Our nation and the values of our society would be far better off and different to the good if every person had to spend at least two years in the Marines when they graduated from high school.
In the Maries there is a Standard. It's a flag that designates the Marine Crops from the other branches of our military. It also defines and separates each Division, each battalion, all the way down to each platoon of the Marines. A marine or serviceman can determine where he belongs by finding the standard when it is lifted up.
In each platoon there is a Standard Bearer. That's the person that carries the standard that represents a particular platoon. There are strict requirements for the person that carries the standard. To make it short, he must be clean, spit shined, creased and sharper than any of the rest. The standard and the standard bearer are an icon for all to focus on for a visible focus point that make us feel like, "that's where I belong." It's a place to rally around.
God has a Standard, and a Standard Bearer. His Standard will draw all men unto Him.
Isa 59:19 When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. KJV.  When it seem like the wiles of Satan are becoming more powerful every day, look for the Standard. Satan hates the Standard of God. Truth, Righteousness, Holiness, Faith, Hope, Satan has 'No Weapon" that can proper against a child of God that lives by God's Standard.

Let's bind together and pull together and raise God's Standard in our homes our   businesses, in our community and most of all in our churches. I heard on radio today that standard meant a barrier to keep things out. But God raises His Standard that we can rally together and fight and win this war  with Satan.
