Why Not Woman?by Pastor Dale Carter on 01/25/19
I honestly believe that I have the second greatest job in the world. There is nothing else I could imagine myself doing. I love being a pastor, the shepherd of a small flock in Lonoke, Arkansas. Eight plus years ago I stumbled and fell into this small pasture. We have done well, grown in number and property. But if we grow to where the Compaq Center in Houston Texas could not hold the congregation I’d still would not be qualified nor could I ever qualified to have the opportunity to hold the greatest job in the world. It can’t ever happen; because God did not create me nor equipped me or any other man to occupy that position. I know that what I’m about to say has become very unpopular and is very politically incorrect in today’s world. But we are not of this world and God’s Word and Church is not political. It is a never changing Rock. The greatest, most important job in the whole entire world is reserved for a woman and a woman only. It even carries two titles, Wife and Mother.
Being a wife and mother is more important than being the president of the United States, more important than being a King over many nations. It is the power of a praying mother that has protected the life of sons and daughters on the battle fields around the world. There is nothing more comforting to a child in harm’s way than to know that Mama is praying for them and when Mama prays, Heaven listens. There is no place that can disperse fear and anxiety and bring peace and serenity like Mama’s lap. There has never been anything more powerful, more instrumental or influential in producing the values in the men that have lead and shaped this nation. Men like Abe Lincoln who was quoted in saying, “I remember my Mother’s prayers and they have always followed me, influenced me and shaped me into the man that I am.”
First and foremost, God’s plan for the newly created human race, was to show a clear and unmistakable distinct differences in creation so male and female created He them and He called their name Adam. In this statement God created the most powerful and influential institution of all, called Marriage. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh. Though He called their name Adam, meaning they were to function as one, they were two separate individuals and had very much different roles to play in life.
Adam called his wife’s name Eve because she was the mother of all living. Another institution was just birthed. Its name is called Motherhood. The institution was in Adam but only a woman would be qualified to serve. No man has ever served nor will any man ever serve in this most powerful position.
Giving consideration to the role of a man: God established Adam to rule over his wife not as a king or master but as a shepherd to lead her, nourish and feed her protect her and tread her as his own flesh. But when Eve listened to the voice of the serpent, the voice of her shepherd was not heard so she was led astray by a strange voice.
As time speeds onward and the further becomes the present and the present gives way to the past many situation have occurred and many men have failed to fulfill the role that God created them to do. So a precious, God loving woman seeing the need steps up and tries to fill the role of the man. As it is impossible for a man to fulfill the role of a woman, it is also impossible for a woman to fill the role of a man. Why? Because situations, events and circumstances will not change the Word of God. Established before the foundation of the world His word will never pass away. If a situation changed the Word then we could not depend on it. But standing on His Word and raising the standard will change any situation and we will be able to wave the banner of victory high above the battles of this life on earth.
Ladies, precious Ladies please do not be enticed or lead astray by an ever growing delusion of a charismatic, political correct movement that is now infiltrating the Church. Don’t destroy what God has created you to be by trying to be what God has not ordained.
